Royal Enfield Slashes Prices on 350cc Models, Bigger Bikes to Get Costlier
Royal Enfield has announced a major price revision across its lineup following the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) changes introduced by the Indian government. The move will make popular models like the Hunter 350, Bullet 350, Classic 350, and Goan Classic 350 more affordable, while larger-capacity motorcycles will see a sharp price hike.
Effective September 22, all two-wheelers under 350cc will now attract 18% GST, reduced from the earlier 28%, with Royal Enfield confirming that it will fully pass on this benefit to customers. The exact revised price list will be revealed on the same day.
However, enthusiasts looking at bigger machines may need to stretch their budgets. Motorcycles above 350cc will now draw 40% GST (up from 28% plus 3% cess), leading to a significant price increase for models such as the Himalayan 450, Guerilla 450, and the entire 650cc lineup.
With these changes, Royal Enfield’s most popular commuters and mid-range bikes will become more accessible, while its premium offerings are set to command a steeper price tag.
